Korea, as one of the world's few divided countries, experienced the agony of war in 1950. Since then, 72 years have passed. Politics, the economy, and culture on this soil have progressed as if there was no war. In the background of this growth, however, there were heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect this country. What would their lives be like on this very present day?
Many years have passed, and the younger generation does not know much about war. These days, the younger generation considers the elderly on the streets with their veteran vests as merely old people. There are about 58,000 surviving veterans of the Korean War that broke out on the 25th of June, and this number decreases each year. What can we do to commemorate and honor their noble sacrifice before they run their course? Though long overdue, we paid our respects by presenting new uniforms to them for the first time in 70 years. Forgotten heroes, we thank you for your service.
